Go head-to-head against the Bath Rugby team in a match of wits, skills and…a bit of luck! All you have to do is visit the Bath Rugby website, complete the form, attach a photograph of yourself and submit your entry. Wilts is the new official sponsor of Bath Rugby for the 2007/08 season. The two-year deal includes branding on the right shirt sleeve, tickets, programmes, hospitality and signage at the Rec in Bath. Mark Kingsbury, Chairman of Wilts said "Wilts is thrilled to be so closely involved with Bath Rugby. The sponsorship of the team and the support for Bath Rugby Community Foundation is part of our strategy to raise our profile with both the business and local communities."

Wilts and Sportsmatch have partnered to support a Bath Rugby Community Foundation project. Wilts Wholesale Girls Sportsmatch Programme is a two year project open to girls from 7 – 11 years old across BANES and West Wiltshire. From September 2007, a programme delivering curriculum based rugby coaching, leaving schools with all the appropriate materials such as balls and tags, so that they many continue with their training even after the programme has completed. Jimmy Deane, Community Development Manager at Bath Rugby believes the initiative will give girls greater access to rugby and help nurture some of the best talent in women’s rugby.

| The Wilts Grubber Kick Challenge... |
Wilts ran a Grubber Kick Challenge at the Bath Rugby Supporters Evening that took place at The Rec. Participants aged 4 to 74 took part in the competition, each one aiming to knock down three tackle shields with a grubber kick. Onlookers soon realised that the challenge was a more difficult feat that it looked, but in the end there was a clear winner in each age category. Each winner won a prize. The winners were:
Under 11’s: Callum Carrol, aged 9, won a Nintendo Wii with an amazing 3 successful kicks. 11-16’s: William Bryant, aged 11, won a signed Bath Rugby ball by knocking down 2 targets. Over 16’s: Laura Harrison won £50 in leisure vouchers with her successful kick.

| Wilts Show Some Spark at The Rec... |
The management team at Wilts went down to The Rec for a day of teambuilding activities and challenges run by the Bath Rugby Community Foundation. Around twenty members of senior staff, both male and female, took part in a series of exercises designed to utilise and develop their teamwork and communication skills. The team took part in activities such as tower-building and orienteering, with the main event of the day being a session of ball skills and Tag Rugby. Bath Rugby players Danny Grewcock and Andy Beattie joined them for lunch to chat and answer their questions. Player of the day was won by Jane Hart, who received a signed Bath Rugby ball.

To promote energy efficiency, Wilts and leading lamp manufacturer OSRAM, gave away energy saving light bulbs at the Bath Vs Cardiff Rugby Match (EDF Energy Match) on Friday 30th November. 1000 people received a complimentary bulb, courtesy of OSRAM. Without sacrificing light output, modern energy saving lamps can save up to 80% on electricity costs, as well as lasting up to 15,000 hours. A simple step such as changing to energy efficient lamps can make a big impact on the environment and people’s electricity bills.

| Bath Rugby Corporate Golf Day... |
A fantastic day of golf was enjoyed by many at the Bath Rugby Corporate Golf Day sponsored by Wilts on Thursday 25th October 2007. The event was held at Cumberwell Park Golf Club near Bradford on Avon and was well supported by many local businesses in the area. A Bath Rugby player joined each team for the day. Guests were given bacon rolls and coffee on arrival, played eighteen holes of golf and the day was finished off with a three course lunch followed by prize giving and a charity auction.

| Growing Support for Girl's Rugby... |
The findings of the government’s 2006-07 school sport survey found that 86% of pupils now participate in just two hours of PE and school sport each week. But the survey also found that girls at single-sex schools do less sport. Just 65% of pupils at these schools take part in two hours or more a week of high-quality sport. In September, Wilts and Sportsmatch launched an initiative to support a Bath Rugby Community Foundation project. Wilts Wholesale Girls Sportsmatch Programme is a two year project which works with girls in secondary schools across Bath and North East Somerset and Wiltshire offering the chance for girls to try rugby within their PE lessons. So far 350 girls in 8 schools have been involved in the project.

| Wilts Entertains 400 People at Bath Rugby... |
As official sponsors of Bath Rugby Club, Wilts Wholesale Electrical will be hosting an event on Saturday 16th February at the Bath Rugby Vs London Wasps game. Wilts has invited 400 of its customers to enjoy a 3-course meal, drink, programme, tickets to the match plus an opportunity to meet the players. In addition, former Bath, England and British Lions player Gareth Chilcott will be the guest speaker. In addition, a raffle will be held at the event in aid of Bath Rugby Community Foundation. Mark Kingsbury, chairman of Wilts commented “This is going to be a great game and we’re looking forward to sharing the excitement with our customers.
