Wilts is a finalist for the second year running in PwC West of England Business Awards

Wilts, the UK’s largest independent electrical wholesaler, has become a finalist for the second year running in the 2009 West of England Business of the Year Awards, organised by PwC and in association with Beacon South West, Western Daily Press, ITV West.

Based in Trowbridge, Wilts Wholesale Electrical employs 700 people across 73 outlets, offers 26,000 product lines and has sales of over £114 million. The award ceremony saw Integral take the overall accolade.




Other finalists included; Gooch & Housego, Hydrock, Mole Valley Farmers and Vectura Group.

Managing Director David Purdon commented, “I am delighted that we got into the finals for the second year running, it’s a real achievement to keep a consistent standard and to be a finalist more than once against some pretty steep competition. We have worked hard to keep Wilts evolving as a business. It is good to get recognition in the West of England awards as this is where we started and where we house our head office. It’s important to us to have local and national recognition.”
