About Us » Environmental Policy

Wilts Wholesale Electrical Co. Ltd is a supplier of electrical goods to the electrical contracting trade, factories, shops, and public, and recognises that its activities have an impact on the environment. The company is dedicated to establishing and maintaining environmentally sound procedures, in all our activities, working practices and business relationships. We are committed to protecting, conserving and enhancing all aspects of the environment over which we have control or can influence. The principle operational responsibility for environmental management and compliance with the EMS lies with line management: all employees are responsible for compliance with procedures.

Where customers require us to operate in a specific manner to support their environment management system, we shall endeavour to do so without compromising our own procedure.
We will:
• Meet all relevant legislative requirements and co-operate with enforcement authorities.
• Seek to reduce consumption of materials in operations, re-use rather than dispose wherever possible, and promote recycling and the use of recycled materials.
• Manage energy wisely in all building-related operations.
• Reduce wherever practicable the level of harmful emissions.
• Make efficient use of resources that can be re-used, recycled or disposed of safely.
• Support our customers’ programmes to promote environmental protection by relevant groups and organisations.
• Include environmental issues in discussions with Wilts employees and in training programmes, and encourage sound environmental practices by all Wilts employees.
• Monitor environmental data on an annual basis.
• Make sufficient resources available including information, instruction, training, and supervision, to develop and manage the implementation and use of the Environmental Management System.
• Make this Environmental Policy Statement available to interested parties on request and to all employees through the staff handbook. It should also be displayed on main internal Wilts notice boards.
The Environmental Policy Statement will be reviewed annually by the Managing Director.
